Easy Homemade Dog Treats

As some of your know, our family has a Christmas tradition of making homemade gifts for each other. Well, of course we needed to include the newest member of our family…

Homemade dog treats.

The kids helped me measure, mix, roll, cut, and bake these dog treats. It was very easy, with simple ingredients that we already had on hand – and Willie LOVED them!

Once you mix the simple ingredients together – you’ll have a dough that is stiff but not dry. Just as you would with sugar cookies, you’ll want to sprinkle your work surface with a little flour and roll out your dough. I rolled these out between 1/3″ – 1/2″ thick and I actually used the base of a large cake decorating tip as the cookie cutter! You can use any type of cookie cutter you want for these dog treats, or simply use a knife and make squares or triangles. They don’t have to be miniature like ours!

I hope you enjoy making these, and I hope your little furry friend enjoys them even more! They store for many weeks in an airtight container.

We loved making these dog treats, and we had plenty to share so we gave small bags to our family members who also have dogs!
